I’m Not Anti-Vaxx. I’m Pro-Freedom — You Should Be, Too
Nothing good comes from forcing people to get vaccinated against their will.
Covid has been raging for well over a year now, and I have made a valiant effort to keep my distance from this topic (no pun intended).
Why?
Because I think we can all agree it’s exhausting. I’d rather talk about, well, basically anything else, such as whether Brie is best eaten cold or lukewarm, or whether buying a boat is a smart move or not. (If you’re wondering, it’s not.)
But the situation has been evolving so quickly that I feel compelled to speak out and share my thoughts — and, much more importantly, the insight of experts in the field.
Recently, I have been hearing more and more powerful people all over the world who are trying to make vaccination mandatory simply to keep your job, stay in school, travel, or even go to the grocery store — in certain countries, it’s already a reality.
This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me: the fact that a few influential billionaires want to decide for everyone else who should be allowed to do basic, vital things like work or buy food.
If this feels unjust to you, that’s because it is — it’s not only unjust but extremely disturbing and a grave attack on individual liberty.
The decision to get the Covid shots or not is yours — and only yours — to make. It always has been, and it always will be. No government, billion-dollar pharmaceutical company, employer, mother-in-law, or random stranger like me has the right to make that decision for you.
I say all this as someone who has been vaccinated many times and who is well aware of how some vaccines have revolutionized the world. For instance, I was fortunate enough to get the vaccine against polio when I was a baby — a virus my grandfather and many others suffered from that I have avoided completely. That’s incredible.
But the decision to get that shot was voluntary — no one forced my parents to get me vaccinated. They studied the question and made an educated decision based on what they thought was best for their baby. That was their right, and it remains everyone’s right to decide for themselves what they want to put in their bodies — and the bodies of their minor children — or not.
Unfortunately, the Covid shots are still extremely new and their long-term effects are unknown since they were rolled out less than a year ago — that’s simple logic, and any expert can confirm this.
It’s unethical to force anyone to get these shots: first, because we all have the right to make important medical decisions for ourselves, and second, because there is mounting evidence to suggest that none of the Covid shots are as safe or effective as the media has been reporting.
For instance, if the shots really are effective, it seems illogical that a study would reveal a whopping 74% of new Covid cases in a recent Cap Cod outbreak came from fully vaccinated people. To quote the article:
“One crucial finding of the CDC study was that vaccinated and unvaccinated people were found to carry similar levels of the virus in their bodies.”
This is just one example, but so far, I haven’t seen any logical explanation from a qualified expert who supports Covid shots for why this could be — unless these shots don’t do what they’re supposed to do in the first place.
Again, I am not against vaccines in principle.
But when experts in the field, such as Pfizer’s former chief scientist Michael Yeadon, virologist and inventor of mRNA technology Dr. Robert Malone, or pathologist Dr. Ryan Cole, among many others, say there is something wrong with these specific shots and they’re unlike anything they’ve ever encountered, I think we should at least listen.
That’s what normally happens in a free society: experts who are extremely knowledgeable in their fields are allowed to discuss these issues and disagree, and people then make up their own minds, choose what they believe, who they trust, and what decisions they want to make for their optimum health.
In a free society, there’s more than one narrative because issues are never simple, especially where science is concerned.
In a free society, experts who have differing points of view from the mainstream aren’t threatened or censored or fired. Their expertise is taken into account and they receive the respect and appreciation they deserve.
Once these liberties are gone, we no longer live in a free society.
Like you, I want Covid to end. I want the global suffering and despair it has provoked to end.
If there was a general consensus among experts regarding the Covid shots’ effectiveness and safety for everyone, that would be reassuring — although it would still be your choice to get them or not.
But that’s sadly not the case — far from it. And the fact that people in high places are trying to force you and me to take them against our will — despite mounting reports of adverse reactions and death among the vaccinated — is absolutely horrifying.
The government isn’t your mother; it doesn’t know what’s best for you, and it rarely, if ever, has your best interests at heart. All you have to do is look at history to realize governments are willing to do almost anything to reach their own ends, even if those ends are completely opposed to what is best for you. If you need an example, just look at what happened to Tibet a few decades ago.
I don’t relish conspiracy theories; I just want the truth, as I’m sure you do too.
When powerful people who don’t know me or my medical history start telling me what I need to have injected just so I can continue living a “normal life,” something feels off — especially when billions and billions of dollars are involved and there is a clear financial incentive to have as many people as possible get these shots, preferably multiple times.
I’m not a guinea pig, and I’m going to take a wild guess and assume you aren’t one either. Humans are all different, and a medical intervention that may make sense for one person will absolutely not make sense for someone else.
No one should be bullied, threatened, harassed, discriminated against, or fired for doing what is best for their own body. Period.
If you’re feeling uneasy about the Covid shots and don’t like the idea of being forced to get them, that doesn’t make you unreasonable or selfish.
You have the right to make that decision. You have the right to seek alternative ways of protecting yourself and others against Covid. You have the right to stand up and say no to governments that want to control what you can and can’t do based on your vaccination status.
Remember: knowledge is power. I encourage you to stay open-minded and study this issue from experts who have no known conflicts of interest.
For instance, I personally had no reason to mistrust Dr. Fauci — that is, until I found out he got in trouble for outsourcing gain-of-function research to China, even after the United States banned the practice in 2014.
What is gain-of-function research?
I’m glad you asked. It’s when scientists try to make viruses deadlier and more transmittable. As you can imagine, this practice is extremely dangerous and there have been concerns that such research could lead to a global pandemic for years now.
And today, here we are. Is it all a wild coincidence? Perhaps. But in my opinion, Fauci has a lot to answer for — and until his past is cleared up, it doesn’t seem reasonable to blindly trust that he is acting in our best interests.
Bottom line: always question what people tell you, especially when they are in positions of power and have clear financial incentives to hide the truth.
Final thoughts
If you take just one thing away from this article, let it be this: You have the fundamental right to make decisions concerning your body for yourself, no matter what some people or governments may claim. Never let anyone take that right away from you. Never be silent in the face of grave discrimination and injustice.
We must never allow our society to become unlivable for certain people simply because they opt out of a certain shot. Never.
History will not look kindly on those who use manipulative tactics and lies to get people to do something they don’t need or want to do — it never has.
Whether you’ve gotten the Covid shots or not, stand up for your rights and the rights of those who will come after you, and never stop believing that the truth always wins in the end.
